Bringing the Social Media Revolution to Health Care

Lee Aase, Director of the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media, will share his story of developing a first-of–its-kind social media center focused on healthcare at Mayo Clinic. Additionally, Lee will tell us how the Mayo Clinic’s culture was transformed by moving from traditional outlets to direct-to-consumer news delivery, giving patients a platform for their stories. He will also share Mayo Clinic’s vision to move social media use beyond marketing, applying these revolutionary tools to improve health and health care for people everywhere. No doubt you’ve already heard about Lee so celebrate along with us as we learn more about how internal and external cultures in hospitals have been changed and spend a few minutes learning about SMUG University!
